Ryan + Jacoby Crawford Wedding

Ryan + Jacoby Crawford Wedding

Couples are often told to prepare for anything when it comes to their wedding, but a global pandemic isn’t typically something to consider. This isn’t the way these two planned their forever day, but they made the best of it and it was CMBC’s most romantic, intimate wedding of 2020. These two knew that the most important part of their wedding, was becoming husband and wife on March 28 with a handful of their loved ones to witness it.

Their Story

Ryan + Jacoby are truly one of the most adorable couples I’ve ever met! They met distantly in Junior High in the 6th grade, but didn’t become friends until they were in High School. They hung out with the same group of friends which gave them the opportunity to get to know each other. Before they knew it, being with each other on a more consistent basis led them to take an interest in being more than “Just Friends”. She fell involve with his kind heart, he fell involve with her goofiness making her thankful that he had such a great sense of humor. They complete each other in ways that made them feel whole.

The Proposal

8 months into their relationship, Ryan just knew he had to make a move. He took Jacoby on an evening boat ride as they have done plenty of times before, only this time would be one she would never forget. They ended up in the bay and came to a stop. She was at the front part of the boat and not quiet sure of what he was doing so concerned, she turned around and found him on one knee.  She didn’t even hesitate to say yes! She knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.

Their Wedding Day

They wedding day was perfect! It was overcast and a cool front was just brewing in. The wind was a sour factor leaving hair unmanageable, but we all agreed we would take the wind over a hot and humid day any day! Their wedding did not take place in their preferred venue at The Red Barn, however, her besties house sure did come close to it. It was beautiful and still had the corn crop backdrop we wanted to use for our group shots.

The ceremony felt as if time stood still..  Ryan watched Jacoby walk down the isle for the first time in her gorgeous All About The Dress white gown with the biggest smile on his face. I could tell he was trying to hold back the tears. I wish he didn’t! I love watching the groom tear up! Is that mean? I continued capturing their nuptials and then suddenly found myself wondering what was going on when Jacoby’s mom ran over to the Maid Of Honor only to find out she dropped their rings in the grass! No worries, they found them. It became a highlight of their forever day!

Nick + Payton Elliott Wedding

Nick + Payton Elliott Wedding

In this time of distress with COVID-19, I’m so happy to post something that will shed some light in this darkness! This wedding was super special to me. I’ve known Payton and her family for quiet sometime so you can only imagine my excitement when Payton said that I was the only one she trusted to capture such an important time in her life.

Nick and Payton are definitely a pair that was meant to be. I only met Nick the day of their wedding but just in the short amount of time I got to spend with him, his eyes and whole heart lit up everytime he had Payton & Penelope by his side.

Their Story:

3 years ago, Nick came in to the salon to get a haircut from Payton’s twin sister Kaitlyn. Thankfully, Kaitlyn didn’t have time so Payton took on the job. I think she was low key trying to hook her sister up! He was very pleased with his cut so naturally they exchanged phone numbers for future scheduled cuts. At least that’s what they thought. 3 cuts into their client / professional relationship, it became a little more. They started texting on a regular basis and before they knew it.. their relationship went from professional to forever. On their first date, she saw all of the qualities in a man she wanted for her and Penelope and knew that he was their person. Truth be told, she would later find out that he fell in-love with Penelope before her LOL. How cute!

The Proposal:

On a rainy causal day in April of 2019, Payton was sitting on her couch when Nick came in to let her know he was going to finish their laundry downstairs. She thought “okay?!?” He was gone for such a long time but to her, she didn’t think anything of it since he was a social butterfly. Nick finally came and sat on the coffee table in front of the couch in front of Payton as she’s chowing down on her turkey sandwich. She thought once again, “Wow, okay, he’s on a roll with all this weird stuff”! He proceeded to tell her how much he loved her & Penelope and how happy he made them. Nick then got down on one knee, popped open a little red box holding a ring his father gave his step mother and asked her for her hand in marriage. Mouth full of turkey sandwich and eyes full of tears, her answer was “yes!”

The Wedding:

With the scare and chaos of the world, I had no idea what to expect when I showed up to Port O’Connor. All I know is that I was super excited to shoot photos on the beach! In the years I’ve been in business, I have never done wedding photos on the beach. We pulled up to the community center and got our detail shots which is always the very first thing I do when I arrive. Everything was simple, beautiful, pastel and soft which I expect nothing less from this beach beauties taste. After details, we went to their salon to capture all of our pre shots before the ceremony. We shared so many laughs and had such pleasant conversations making the best of everything! I got to meet her grandma Josie and to my surprise found out this lady y’all was so hip and so much fun! Probably one of the coolest grannies I know! Luckily we were able to capture plenty of group shots prior to their ceremony and even got greeted by a man flying in the sky LOL. You’ll see what I’m talking about.

The ceremony was filled with their closest friends and family. It was everything I thought it would be. My favorite part was Nick tearing up as his bride walked down the isle. I’m not sure if this is mean or not but my absolute favorite thing is seeing the groom cry! It makes my heart all warm and fuzzy! I also find myself tearing up as well. How can you resist??? It’s such a beautiful moment! The weather was pleasant, the breeze was perfect and the rest was a night I’ll never forget. Here’s a few of my favs!

Paul + Viola Tristan Wedding

Paul + Viola Tristan Wedding

There’s so much chaos in the world right now with this Coronacraziness that I thought I’d share something amazingly positive! These two are such wonderful individuals! They have known each other for 40 years and have 3 beautiful grown children.. 2 Years ago, Paul asked Viola to Marry him.. Once again.. This time in the eyes of the Lord.

When I met Viola I was taken back by her elegance and the way she carried herself. Getting to know her through the year I started to see the fun side of her and how in-love she was with her forever man. The one thing I’ll never forget is the lack of luck we had for our engagement and bridal session.. The wind was not our friend! However! Viola pushed back her hair and batted those gorgeous eyes and rocked her sessions! For most women who wear their hair down on windy days, you know the struggle of keeping pieces of hair flying right in front of your face.. Viola, she did it with grace!

For a while I didn’t realize that I already knew part of Paul and Viola’s family. I met her son and his beautiful wife at Elite Fitness and then had the pleasure of working with them for a family session. I only put two and two together during my engagement session with them and then started to see the resemblence between Viola and her son Paul Jr. It made their wedding that much more unforgettable with such an amazing family!

Do you remember that bad luck with wind I spoke about? I just knew that because their engagement and bridal session was windy, that there would be absolutely no way their wedding day would be windy… and it wasn’t LOL. It was such a beautiful day and couldn’t be more perfect! Viola and Paul united their love at Our Lady Of Victory and celebrated their forever at Spring Creek Event Center with their closest friends and family. Everything was decorated by one of my favs Kurt & Company in black and red with gold accents with Roses for days. I couldn’t have picked more romantic colors to define LOVE. Paul & Viola, I wish you a lifetime of love and new memories that will live on to forever! Thank you so much for letting me apart of your journey and capturing your life’s most beautiful moments!

Richard & Bianca Rodriguez Wedding

Richard & Bianca Rodriguez Wedding

Oh Gawsh! My journey with these two has been one of the easiest by far. I just love my couples and the relationships I build with them! Before we get into how dreamy their wedding day was.. Let’s go back.. way back on when these two first met.

Bianca & Richard met at church camp when she was 15, him 18. Little did they until later that they actually have been in eachothers lives since she was 3, him 5!  Bianca’s mom and Richards aunt were good friends! How cute! Time went by and as they got older fate hit once again and they became close friends her junior year when he helped rehab her torn knee. They remained friends until she was 19 and finally gave him the chance he had been waiting for his whole life! She played hard to get but it paid off in the end!

5 years later, let’s just say Richard pulled a romantic move and took lots of time creating the perfect proposal! While Bianca spent much of her time at work, Richard was thinking of the best way to get Bianca to the home they had been looking at! Bianca thought they were just looking at a home and possibly putting in an offer. She had no idea he already purchased and closed on it! He asked her to come by to look at the house… As she opened the door, he was down on bended knee and proposed to her and surprised her in their forever home!

Fast forward to their wedding day! It was perfection! The weather was chilly but not unbearable, the atmosphere was fresh and rarely used and could’t have been more breathtaking. Their closest friends and family came from all over to watch these two unite as one at Deep In The Heart Farms chapel. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! I think everyone including myself lost it when we saw the grooms emotions overwhelm him while Bianca walked down the isle. It honestly, is one of my most favorite moments! From that moment on.. the day flowed so smoothly from one event to the next!

Bianca + Richard, always communicate, keep each other first in everything you do and cherish every second you are given together. There will be ups and downs but just as long as you keep those three things in mind.. You will get through anything! Dana + Wade Singer Wedding

Dana + Wade Singer Wedding

Pinch me! This was a dreamy wedding and just perfection! On my way to The Evermore, which by the way is one of the most gorgeous local venues, I remember looking out my vehicle window and thinking how beautiful the drive was and the weather couldn’t be more crisp. I could breath in the air and feel refreshed and ready to take on the day. I pulled up to the venue and made my way up the stairs to the bridal room to greet the bride and congratulate her on one of the most important days of her life. She had the biggest smile on her face knowing that in just a few hours, she would marry her soul mate.

Rewinding back on how they met, Colleen, Dana’s friend since Kindergarten, and her Husband Gerald saw potential in the two and set up Dana + Wade on a blind date. Ever since, they were inseparable and fell involve quickly!

At the end of April 2019, they made a trip to Fredericksburg, Tx they were getting ready to go out for a dinner date. When she asked him if he was ready to go into town, he smiled at her, took her in for a giant bear hug and told her that he knew 6 months into their relationship, that she was the one he was going to spend the rest of his life with. She told him that she felt the same way, he then apologized to her and said he was sorry for waiting to long to ask her to be his forever. She told him that it was okay and that when he was ready to ask, her answer would always be ‘yes’!. He then said, “it will be soon, I promise.” She told him “good, because I can’t wait.” Wade took that opportunity ad waited no more, pulled away from the hug and said, “well then how about right now?” He proceeded to get down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Getting to know Dana & Wade through their day you can see how perfect they are for each other. I could see how much their families on both sides were already so close and the bond they have already built for each other. It was by far, a flawless wedding with so much love, laughter and the best way to end 2019.

Quisto + Cheyenne Lopez Wedding

Quisto + Cheyenne Lopez Wedding

When I met Cheyenne for our consultation I knew that this wedding was going to be one I would never forget! In the 7 years I’ve been in business I’ve never shot a wedding at LaBahia in Goliad and I absolutely love the historical grounds including The Mission! It was also a first for me to shoot the reception at the Auditorium next to the LaBahia which is also historically gorgeous inside and out! If you know me personally you know that I have OCD and am big on being organized.. So is Cheyenne and I loved that about her!

Let’s take you back to where it all began! Cheyenne & Quisto knew each other for 10+ years but were “just friends” (I love that movie). After both had been through serious relationships and those relationships failed, they decided to give love a chance and started dating… Guess what! They came out of the “friend zone” and fell involve!

Quisto fell heads over heels involve with Cheyenne so last year on Thanksgiving day he planned his proposal.. He paced around the house all evening and Cheyenne could tell something was up because everyone was making faces and carrying their cell phones around. After all his pacing he took her by the hand and walked her next to the fire place, got down on one knee… and well, honestly she had no clue what he said because he was nervous and she was in shock LOL..  All she could do was say “yes”!

Fast forwarding to their forever day.. It was perfect! The weather was perfect enough for the bridesmaids crushed velvet dresses which by the way were gorgeous and Quisto’s crush velvet blazer which was poppin! The church was filled with all of their closest  friends and family and when Cheyenne walked down the isle.. Quisto lost it. (That’s my favorite part! I love watching the grooms first look!) He tried keeping it together but his emotions took over as he watched his beautiful bride coming towards him… The one thing I love about my job as a wedding photographer is capturing a timeline of my bride & grooms big day! I can go on and on about how flawless everything went, but instead… I’ll let the photos speak for themselves!

After a busy schedule I fiiiiinally get to get back to doing what I love and that’s sharing my clients love stories through images.. I’ve known Courtney “Court, hehe” for such a long so I was honored when she asked me to capture one of the biggest days of her life! I got to meet Jeff and instantly you can see that these two were meant for each other! During our consultation they talked about having a chill rustic wedding with their closest friends and family where they fell involve! I loved everything about it!

Courtney & Jeff originally met in high school where his mom was one of her favorite teachers! They ate lunch together in her classroom as “just friends” and at that time her name for him was “lil bud”. Lil did they know 2 years ago they would both end up at KB’s BBQ and reconnect. After all these years he finally got the courage to ask her out! They went on a few dates and when Hurricane Harvey hit.. they were put in a situation where Courtney & Jeff  had to cohabitate and ended up falling involve! In many peoples situation, these was a devastating event.. for them.. it was fate.

Fast forward.. Courtney, Jeff, friends and their family were celebrating one of their kiddos birthdays with a surprise that only Courtney didn’t know about.. After singing “happy birthday” Jeff took her into a room and said.. “you know I love you right”? Courtney was oblivious and in shock when he got down on his knee and asked her to be his forever! And now.. here we are.. After everything they’ve been through they united their vows in the very place they met after years of being apart and I love that I was apart of that. I met so many wonderful people there and reconnected with some I haven’t seen in years!

Heather + Chris

Heather + Chris

I’ve been thinking so hard on the right words to blog about Heather & Chris… But I can promise you the photos will speak volumes! The first time I met Chris & Heather, I knew they were hit with the cupid arrow. Chris is such a sweet, romantic guy and Heather is such a sweet, soft spoken beauty. Chris is the type of guy that would carry Heather across puddles of water… literally! Most of the time, opposites attract but God knew exactly what he was doing when he paired these two.

Let me take you back to where these two met.. Heather & Chris met in high school (9th grade) in Spanish class. Heather spoke fluent Spanish and would “help” chris study and with their assignments. They remained friends for 10+ years before we even started dating. WOW! Isn’t that mind blowing! After college Heather lived in Austin, Chris in Victoria and they decided to catch up over lunch one day and it all started from there. A few more lunch dates and they knew they couldn’t ignore the feelings that had been stirred up. He asked her to be his girlfriend the night of a work Christmas party with a dozen roses and a cute note. Ughhhhh.. Like I said.. a romantic!

Fast forwarding to the night he proposed..I’m only getting started! They were in Houston for a Texans game and it was right before New Years so it was freezing! They were trying to go see a Christmas light show and Heather was trying to change plans due to the cold.. Little did she know, she was messing up his proposal plans. LOL! They ended up going to the outdoor 3 story shopping center that had some night life entertainment like restaurants, bars, and bowling. They walked around on the 3rd floor admiring the Christmas lights that were still up when he said he had something for her to wear to the game the next day. He pulled out a jersey from his coat and when she opened it, she saw that it had Chris’s last name on the back. She was a little confused but when she looked up he was getting down on his knee! Awwwwww, what a sweet and thoughtful way to propose! I’m a sucker for a good love story…

So my point to all of these sweet and romantic stories and how much these two love each other… When you see these photos.. Love is all you’re going to see. From the moment she walked down the isle, their bride and groom photos, the cake cutting and till the very end of their first dance… Not one are they not looking at each other with so much love. Take a look! Heather + Chris, always communicate, keep each other first in everything you do and cherish every second you are given together. There will be ups and downs but just as long as you keep those three things in mind.. You will get through anything! Thank you for choosing Captured Moments by Christine!

Sarah + Keith Wedding

Sarah + Keith Wedding

Sarah + Keith are a dreamy couple! When we met at Goliad State Park for our engagement session I just knew these two were going to make what I love doing easy! He looked at her with such love in his eyes, it reflected right back on him and they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other!

Sarah + Keith met in 2012 while she was a senior in high school and he went off to work in the oil field. They became inseparable! After she graduated Keith helped her through school as an X-Ray tech and 7 1/2 years later, here we are!

Let me rewind a little bit and give you the fairy tale details of how he proposed to Sarah. They took a trip to Hawaii to visit his nephew and brother who was stationed there and had just retired from the Army. 2 days after landing they decided that Friday morning, they were going to go on a hike, which was planned by the way.. His brother knew the best spot and drove them out to the very place where Keith was going to get on one knew. After 45 mins of hiking up the mountain, they ended up on an old machine gun bunker from WW2 which had the most breathtaking views of the ocean and all the mountains on the island. For a brief moment they were the only two there and as she was looking out at the water, she heard him call her name. She turned around and Keith was on one knee asking Sarah to marry him. Ughhhh how perfect is that proposal! Something out of a dream!

Their wedding day was filled with their closet friends and family and a surprise visit from his brother who was “not” suppose to make it that day. Keith was so happy and the smile on his face from ear to ear made it obvious. Sarah was calm cool and collective and looked absolutely gorgeous! The weather was perfect and the outdoor setting couldn’t be more romantic. Words can’t put into detail all the beauty so hopefully these photos of their big day help! Sarah + Keith, always communicate, keep each other first in everything you do and cherish every second you are given together. There will be ups and downs but just as long as you keep those three things in mind.. You will get through anything! Thank you for choosing Captured Moments by Christine!
