I first met Daniel & Amanda in their hometown of San Antonio during their engagement session on the Riverwalk which is one of my favorite places to be. We started just beneath the Hyatt Hotel along this wall of greenery with soothing mini waterfalls. We walked what felt like the whole Riverwalk and downtown area and I learned so much about them and how they met.. Amanda and Daniel have been together for a little over 6 years and their story of how the met feels like a “Dirty Dancing” series to me which by the way is one of my favorite movies of all time! They meet through the Latin Dance Society at UTSA where Daniel was the charming choreographer who instantly caught her eye as he choreographed the Salsa dance she would be performing. It was no surprise that one of my questions to the would be if they would be performing a salsa for their wedding and I was none the less happy with their answer! Jumping forward to their first dance.. it was everything!
Denise and I arrived a little after lunchtime at Trinity Lutheran Church ready and prepared for the day ahead of us. This church’s outdoor area is breathtaking with a beautiful breezeway full of greenery and archways that made beautiful backgrounds for our group shots! After all of the detail shots it was time for Amanda to put on her dress.. All her favorite ladies surrounded her and instantly the tear works starting flowing. Ughhh, these are some of my favorite moments and why I love doing what I do!
Preparing for our pre ceremony shots like any July wedding bride and groom we were dreading the Texas heat but everyone pushed through it like champs! Did I mention I am ready for fall and winter! Well, I am.. One of the sweetest moments of their wedding was knowing that not only was Amanda’s father walking her down the isle, he was also the Pastor of the church and would be performing their ceremony along with the grooms best man. It was personal and beautiful to watch!
Amanda & Daniel in their 6 years together have already traveled to so many places I could only dream of and used those moments to create the perfect theme for their forever day. Everything was travel themed and each table was dressed with photos of them in their ventures in the many countries they have been together.
I got to know Daniel and Amanda during our time together for their engagement, bridals and their wedding and can honestly say that they are truly meant to be together. I am so happy I got to be their photographer to capture such important moments in their lives. I wish you two happiness and a lifetime of continuing to seek new adventures in your time of traveling the world together now as husband and wife.
