This was probably one of the most romantic weddings ever! I received a call just days before from Alice, the mother of the groom, asking if I was available and I’m so happy I was! Wendy & Mark’s ceremony was scheduled for 11 am at the gazebo downtown Victoria. Rain was in our forecast but thankfully not a drop! I met Wendy & Mark just minutes before they were scheduled to say “I Do”. There was no one around.. Just myself, Wendy & Mark which is why I have checked this off my list as one of my favorite weddings.. How much more romantic could this get?
When Wendy walked down the isle instead of the traditional “Here comes the bride” all I heard was the leaves blowing in the wind and the bell ringing at the top of the courthouse. He walked to the edge of the gazebo to help his soon to be wife up the steps.. I’ll never forget the smile on their faces and the way their eyes lit up when he grabbed her hand. After their exchange of vows we drove to one of my favorite locations where I captured them as husband and wife.. Without the traditional chaos they were able to just live in the moment..
